Reddish-Brown Leather Trench Coat, The Tannery, Montgomery Ward, vintage 1970s, size small-medium (4-8)

$ 66.00

This shorter-length leather trench coat from 1970s is a rich reddish brown shade. The intricate seaming details offer a flattering silhouette and interest on both the front and back and on each sleeve; the button-free style allows the belt to wrap the coat closed for a perfect fit; and the A-line from waist to hem offers some swing and kick.

The coat has its original matching tie belt. It features two hidden side-seam pockets. The collar is split-style, rounded and broad. Tied, the jacket has an hourglass shape; left open, it has almost a swing-back effect. Play with it!

The coat is in excellent vintage condition. It retains the original Montgomery Ward "The Tannery" label. It is 100% genuine leather, and the full lining is a matching shade, likely nylon fabric. The lining is faded in areas (see the 5th photo), but this is not visible when the coat is worn.

It is marked a size 9/10 and would fit a modern size small-medium, or 4-8, depending on the specific measurements. Keep in mind that the bust, waist and hips are adjustable with the belt-closure.
