This is a dark but striking silk scarf from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Frankly the art era it depicts stymies me because it could be a set of patterns from the beginning of civilization--or a representation in any numbers of revivals that came after. The silk is light-isa and has an excellent drape. For some reason many of my photos (despite photoshop tweaking) make the color of the background seem a dark, chocolate brown. Actually, it is quite black, as one of the photos shows. The green is dark and piney. All of this would seem pretty ordinary but the whole scarf and its patterns brighten up a black ensemble exceptionally well. 100% silk. 22 inch square. Free domestic shipping.
